Senior Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan

YANO Kazuhiko is currently the Senior Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). He joined MEXT in 1989. Prior to be assigned to the Senior Deputy Minister of MEXT, he served as the Director-General, Minister's Secretariat(2021-2022) and the Director-General, Elementary and Secondary Education Bureau of MEXT (2023-2024).
