Bo WANG

Vice President and Provost of Peking University in China

Wang Bo is Vice President and Provost of Peking University. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Philosophy, Peking University, where he is currently a professor. He was appointed as Cheung Kong Distinguished Professor and Boya Chair Professor at Peking University. He serves on several important committees, including the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the Steering Committee of the International Federation of Philosophical Societies. Wang Bo has authored numerous works, such as “A Historian’s Perspective on Laozi’s Thought” and “The Philosophy of the Zhuangzi,” and has published over 100 academic papers. He is in charge of such significant research projects as the compilation of The Confucian Canon and A History of Hermeneutics in China.
